The IQAC of VPMM Arts and Science College perceives inculcation of values in students as integral to their comprehensive development strives to strives to the same through value education. The Faculty of Value Education firmly believes in the fundamental moulding of a person in values in order to achieve excellence as an individual. It ideates on and executes plans to achieve the same. The students are made aware of their of their need to give back to the society. The Value Education Programme seeks to nurture civic values, eco-spiritual conscientiousness and a sense of liberty, equality and fraternity in students.

The Faculty of Value Education’s direct focus is limited to its enrolled students, through whom the institution seeks to make an indirect mark in the society. The Faculty of Value Education is constituted as a team and it chooses a theme for every academic year. The students are trained in various and nuanced aspects of this central theme through training sessions that run around the year.

The Faculty of Value Education is a yearly programme executed under the IQAC and it campaigns ten Sessions for an academic year to foster the moral and social values in the minds of youth. The faculty arranges the classes on every third hour of 3rd day in the second week of each month.

The Faculty of Value Education has in place an annual plan to function systematically on fixed dates without any fail. The training team is constituted under the Faculty of Value Education and it contains 10 members including members from the faculty of VPMM Arts and Science College and invited dignitaries from outside the institution who are experts in this field.

The Faculty of Value Education works with an outline for the success of the programme.

The trainers come together to frame the schedule of the programme, its aims and course plan. Every year the team proposes a central theme and selects 10 topics that branch out from the main theme. The faculty decides and designs the areas to be covered for the selected topics. The faculty also prepares and collect available materials to make the classes more interesting and worthwhile.

The Value Education Programme is executed at the department level with the assistance of the HODs and teachers. The HODs are entrusted to conduct the classes with the assistance of the class teacher during the time slots earmarked for value education.
